In Uttar Pradesh, A Muslim Sage Recites Hindu Scriptures
May 22nd, 2009PIPRAICH, INDIA, April 29, 2009: A Muslim sage in Uttar Pradesh has been reciting holy Hindu scriptures at Muslim religious functions. Yasin Bharti, a Muslim, resides in the Khoonipur block of Pipraich area.
Yasin not only has deep knowledge about the Quran, but has equal knowledge about Ramayan and Hindu scriptures. “Bharti recites Ramayan very efficiently,” said Manoj Kumar, a resident. Here, none of the Muslims have any problems when Bharti recites religious lectures on Hindu scriptures and none of the Hindus have any problem when he does his Namaz. Our land is a place of tolerance if we let tolerance arise within ourselves.”
