BHUBANESWAR, INDIA, March 12, 2004: At least four people died and seven were seriously injured Friday when the temple they were constructing in an Orissa village collapsed. The incident took place at Salabani village in Balasore district, 224 km from here. Rescue teams that rushed to the site recovered the four dead bodies and were investigating if there were any more bodies under the debris. Seven people who were seriously injured were rescued and immediately taken to the district hospital. One of the survivors said 26 people working on the temple had come out safe. They were constructing a temple for the Hindu religious sect, Trahi Achyut ashram. The temple is slated to be 70 ft. high.
