Instead of saying at the Beaverton, Oregon, meeting, “…you are equally American if you’re a Christian, Jew, Muslim or Hindu” (as reported by the Times), he actually said “you’re equally American if you’re Christian, Jew, Muslim, or Hindi.” The transcript of his remarks at Beaverton with the error is available on the White House web site at “source” above.
