LONDON, ENGLAND, February 21, 2005: The Hindu Council UK issued the following press release:
“On February 25, Hindu Council UK begins the process of launching our own resources on Hinduism. This comes with a series of textbooks covering GCSE and Advanced level course material. Most of the resources on Hinduism, so far, have been distorted Abrahamic versions of Hinduism. These resources in contrast represent a Hindu version of Hinduism focusing on its core teachings of: Divinity of Man, Religious Pluralism, Religion reconciled with rationality and findings of modern science. The head of Religious Studies at Edexcel Examining Board and the managing director of Working Links are the chief guests at this launch. We also give out awards to the successful candidates who sat for GCSE and Advanced level examinations on Hinduism last year. Some of these candidates have scored perfect 100 percent marks in Hinduism modules right up to Advanced level. The Award Ceremony & Launch of Resources in Hinduism is schedule for 7:30 to 8:30 pm, February 25, at the Council Chambers, Brent Town Hall, Forty Lane, Wembley.”
