HOLLAND, February 25, 2005: Hans Meijer, president of Ned.Opl.Hindoe Geestelijke (Dutch Hindu Cleric Academy) writes, “Herewith we want to inform you about the present situation of the foundation of the World Hindu Minister Academy (WHMA). In reaction to our article(s) in HPI we received five requests for establishing a local academy (3 from India, 1 from Malaysia and 1 from Australia). Besides this we received a number of congratulations and expressions of support. For our steering commitee (Swamy Kumarananda Giri of Malaysia and the undersigned on behalf of the Dutch Academy), this is encouraging enough to continue our efforts in realizing the WHMA. Consequently we decided to take the following steps: 1. start the translation of the set-up program for the local academies (from Dutch into English); 2. create a website where one can follow the development of the WHMA and which website hopefully will attract other participants; 3. communicate with the people who declared that they want to establish a local academy, in order to investigate how ‘realistic’ they are and what kind of special support they need; 4. raise funds.” For more information, contact Hans at “source.”
