KLANG, MALAYSIA, June 3, 2005: Hindu devotees going on pilgrimage to the Tirupathi Venkateshwara temple in India no longer need to wait for hours to fulfil their vows, Malaysia Nanban reports. For a start the Sunraraj Perumal temple in Klang is offering to register the names and particulars of prospective pilgrims to make advance bookings for them. An official from the Tirupathi Venkateshwara temple has also given an assurance that it would open a registration center for Malaysian devotees. Administrative officer A.V. Tharmareddy, who attended a religious function in Klang, said the temple management also provides budget accommodation with vegetarian meals within the premises. The Tirupathi Venkateshwara temple draws millions of Hindu devotees from all over the world. Many have to wait for as long as 40 hours to fulfil their religious obligations.
