HOUSTON, USA, June 26, 2005: The consecration ceremonies at the newly constructed Shrinath Ji temple Nandalaya, is being celebrated with much reverence and delight in this city over this weekend. The socio-religious organization Vallabh Priti Seva Samaj (VPSS) opened the doors of the state-of-the-art US$7 million, 40, 000 sq. foot premises built on 8 acres of land to the public yesterday. Performing the ceremony with Vedic mantras and traditional rituals are spiritual leaders Goswami Shri Mathureshwarjee Maharaj and Goswami Shree Indira Betiji. Lord Shrinath Ji was brought in a motorcade with police escort from His previous home of 15 years. The complex, manned by volunteers, has a Vallabh Vidyalaya (a school for teaching children Hindu heritage and language) and Vallabh Community center (for cultural events and marriage ceremonies). Future plans include the construction of a 150-unit retirement community, a 50-unit assisted living facility, and a 25-unit nursing home. Consecration celebrations continue until July 2.
