NAPERVILLE, ILLINOIS. On June 27th, 2005, Mayor George Pradel and the Naperville, Illinois, City Council awarded Sri Sri Shuddhanandaa Brahmarchari Honorary Citizenship of Naperville in recognition of his selfless service to the community there this spring. Shuddhanandaa, also called simply “Baba,” had made frequent, free presentations on the Simple Art of Managing Stress (SAMS) to churches, hospitals, corporations, government agencies and schools in Naperville and other “Chicagoland” communities. Shuddhananadaa is the Founder and Director of Lokenath Divine Life Mission, based in Kolkata, which serves the poorest of the poor in West Bengal with numerous health, education and self help, Micro Credit sustainable development programs. Shuddhanandaa’s SAMS program distills ancient Vedic principles and practices into simple, practical tools for relieving stress and creating abiding peace and happiness.
