NEWTON, MASSACHUSETTS, September 29, 2005: Chandrakant Panse, Professor of Biotechnology, has published a useful summary of the evidence from DNA research with regard to the “Aryan Invasion” theory of India’s history. The summary reads:
“The stark lack of similarities in the gene pools of India and Europe, vividly evident in mitochondrial DNA and the MHC complex, destroys any notions of an Aryan invasion of India; on the other hand, the genetic uniformity of people of North and South India has been confirmed. The hard scientific evidence cannot be overcome by linguistics or other considerations.”
