TIRUPATI, INDIA, February 23, 2006: In view of Mahasivaratri on February 26, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has decided to distribute at least five hundred thousand pocket books of Sivanama Stotram and Siva Stuti free to the visiting devotees at all Siva temples and other temples under the purview of TTD. Local temples deputy executive officer K. Chitha Ranjan had been entrusted the task of distributing pocket books to all devotees who visited lord Siva temples and other temples under the TTD, its joint executive officer N. Muktheswar Rao said here yesterday. Some pocket books were also being sent to Srikalahasti where 13-day Mahasivaratri utsavams began on February 21. Elaborate arrangements have been made to meet the needs of pilgrims visiting Kapila Teertham on Mahasivaratri, he added.
