DELHI, INDIA, June 18, 2006: Contrary to the Pakistan government’s claim that the only Hindu temple in Lahore is safe, the country’s Minorities Welfare Council has said the Krishna temple has been demolished and got a stay from the High Court on the construction of a commercial building at the site. In a petition to the HC the council said the temple was demolished following a notification from the Evacuee Trust Property Board.
