KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA, November 11, 2006: The Sangam’s latest e-newsletter is available with a variety of Malaysian Hindu news. Their lead story is entitled “Another Hindu Buried as a Muslim” and details a 28-year-old man’s burial in a Muslim cemetery by officials of the Islamic Religious Affairs Department despite protest by the family. Documents claiming to show the man’s conversion to Islam in 2001 were used as the basis for the Muslim ceremony.
“Creating Spiritual Awareness in Business” is planned for Saturday, December 2, 2006, from 5 to 9 pm at the 2nd College, University Malaya, Lembah Pantai, Kuala Lumpur. HH Bodhinatha Veylanswami, publisher of Hinduism Today Magazine, will deliver the keynote address. Registration closes on November 25.
