MADISON, WISCONSIN, USA, November 25, 2006: American Hindu Association has launched a Hindu Cultural Hour – a first in the state of Wisconsin. The Hindu Cultural Hour will be a weekly television show broadcasting from WYOU-TV, Madison, Wisconsin. The American Hindu Association presents the Hindu Perspectives, a TV series shown at 8:00 p.m. and their new show, the Hindu Cultural Hour from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. each Sunday.

Hindu Perspectives is designed to introduce viewers to the Hindu tradition with aim of creating more inter-religious harmony, dialogue, and understanding. Elements of Hinduism will be discussed, including its history, philosophy, literature, theology and practices.

For the Hindu Cultural Hour they are seeking additional lectures on Hinduism in English and cultural programs. If anyone has quality Hindu lectures and cultural programs (arangaterams or stage performances) in DVD, VCD or VHS, you are invited to submit them. Carnatic Music, Hindustani Music, Bharata Natyam Dance, Chhau Dance, Kathak Dance, Kathakali Dance, Kuchipudi Dance, Manipuri Dance, Mohiniattam Dance, Odissi Dance, Carnatic and Hindustani Instrumental Music (Veena, Violin, Sitar, etc.) are but a few of the programs they are interested in.
