Hinduism Today

KAUAI, HAWAII, October 24, 2007: HPI received a photo and report from a reader of a Hindu display at Thailand’s newly opened International Swarnbhumi Airport (Golden Land Airport). He writes: “I think it is one of the finest and best airports in the world. When I was returning and after going through the immigration, entered the departure area near Gates D, I was just mesmerized with the huge multi-color mural of the famous Hindu mythological depiction of Samudra Manthan (The celestial churning of ocean). Most first-time visitors of the airport spend sometime to understand the significance of the scenery and take photos. I was pleasantly surprised that many people were also offering money/water etc. to the Lord there.”

Unfortunately, the photos he sent were too low resolution to use in Hinduism Today. We’re seeking a traveler with a six megapixel camera or above who happens to pass through this airport to locate the mural and photograph it for Hinduism Today. If the photos are used, there will even be a modest remuneration. E-mail ar@hindu.org.
