VISAKHAPATNAM, INDIA, January 6, 2008:Visakhapatnam (PTI): The Indian Science Congress had another first to its credit as physicists and Vedic pundits came together to explore an interface between physics and Vedanta.
Vedic pundits from the Sanskrit University in the temple town of Tirupati, Hyderabad and this port city exchanged views at a sessions on Vedic Sciences at the ongoing 95th annual science meeting. At the first session, experts debated on various facets of Vedic sciences while physicists joined the discussion on the topic “Brahman of Physics: Interface Between Physics and Vedanta”.
“It is the first time we are having sessions on Vedic Sciences in the history of the Science Congress,” R Ramamurthi, General President of the 95th Indian Science Congress, said. Prof C.V.B. Subrahmanyam, a retired academician from the Telugu University in Hyderabad and a well-known astrologer, said the ancient scriptures and modern science should be taught together to present a clear picture of what the Vedas say.
