NEW YORK, May 25, 2008: The Staten Island Hindu temple celebrated the Prana Pratistha, a ceremony consecrating the Hindu deities Sri Shiva and Parvati, Sri Karthikeya, Durga Mata, Lakshmi Mata, Saraswati Mata, Sri Radha Krishna and Sri Hanumanji, from May 23 to 25. This marks the completion of the third stage of the temple dedicated to Shree Ram Parivar. The temple is the dream of the small Hindu Community of Staten Island who put in the effort to make it possible.
