LUCKNOW, INDIA, October 1, 2008: In a gesture of communal amity, Muslims visited a Hanuman temple Monday evening to participate in an Iftar party thrown by their Hindu friends, who seated them and served delicacies such as dates and deep-fried kachauries.

Some 150 members from both communities participated in the event, which aimed to bridge the rift between the two communities in the backdrop of terror activities taking place in various parts of the country. The sharing of thoughts and ideas can help bridge inter-community relations.
