NEW YORK, USA, July 9, 2009: Long-time Hinduism Today correspondent Lavina Melwani has launched a blog called Lassi with Lavina in which she presents her view of the world in areas ranging from the arts to travel to faith and spirituality. Her very first blog posting is about Ganesha, because she believes that all good things must begin with the Lord of Auspicious Beginnings.
Lavina is a New York based journalist who has written for several international publications including India Today, Newsday, The Week, Worth and The Hindustan Times. She has been a reporter for Hinduism Today since the 80’s and has covered diverse stories about faith, culture and spirituality. Her most recent feature was the cover story on the Iraivan Temple.
