UTTARAKHAND, INDIA, August 14, 2009: ALL across Uttarakhand, temples have been decorated for Friday’s celebration of Janmashtmi, the birthday of Lord Krishna. Special prayers and programs marking the occasion will be attended by pilgrims from all across the country.
In Badrinath, the Badri Vishal temple has been decorated; at Haridwar, people will begin their day by taking a holy dip in Ganga river on Friday morning; and in Dehradun, the state capital, temples have been decorated with flowers and lights.
