UDUPI, INDIA, Novemeber 11, 2009: Shiroor Mutt seer Laxmivara Thirtha Swami of Krishna Mutt, the next Paryaya Seer, presided over the inaugural function of the renovated Shiroor Mutt. Swamiji fixed the timing for the inauguration of the mutt in November, the 11th month, on the 11th day at 11 am.
The mutt, which had undergone a thorough renovation for the last two years at the cost US$ 1 million, was jointly inaugurated by Pejawar Mutt seer Vishvesha Thirtha Swami and Shiroor Mutt seer.
Pejawar Mutt seer, delivering the inaugural address said Krishna Mutt is not only for the swamis, but also for the entire society. The renovated Shiroor Mutt houses a spacious Laxmi Samudhra Auditorium, a museum, a guest house and a sound recording room.
