CHENNAI, INDIA, April 5, 2016 (The News Minute): Kapaleeswarar is one of the prominent Shiva temples in India situated in Mylapore, Chennai. Here Lord Shiva is worshipped as Kapaleeswarar (self-manifested) and Goddess Shakti as Karpagambal. During the Tamil month of Panguni, the traditional brahmotsavam (annual festival) takes place when the entire neighborhood comes alive with a mela-like atmosphere.
