GAUTENG, SOUTH AFRICA, June 1, 2024 (press release): The Divine Life Society of South Africa invited the public to celebrate the official opening of Sivanandashram, Sandton on June 9th, 2024. The society was also celebrating Sri Swami Sivananda’s 100th Sannyas Anniversary and the 75th Anniversary of Divine Life Society of South Africa at the opening event.

Due to the significant migration of devotees to the northern suburbs of Johannesburg, as well as the high rate of relocation of many devotees from Durban to Johannesburg, the Society has found the need to establish a new Ashram with Ganga Rani to cater for the spiritual needs of the growing Hindu population in this area.

The new Ashram, located on an three acre plot at 73 Parkville Place, Buccleuch, Sandton, is ideally situated with easy access to major freeways of Johannesburg and will play a pivotal role in providing a spiritual home for devotees seeking spiritual solace amidst the fast-paced environment of Gauteng.
