INDIA, April 20, 2025 (MSN): The pilgrimage season for Char Dham Yatra 2025 will commence in May, after the Uttarakhand state government confirmed the opening dates for the revered Himalayan shrines of Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamunotri. This announcement fuels passion and devotion amongst followers within India and abroad, signifying the commencement of one of the annual milestones in Hinduism modern history.
With an aim to control the large surge of pilgrims and ensure a seamless experience for them, both online and offline registration for the Char Dham Yatra has already been opened. The registration is being managed by the Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board (UTDB). Devotees can register on the official website of Char Dham(https://registrationandtouristcare.uk.gov.in/) or download the Tourist Care Uttarakhand mobile application which is available on Android and iOS. All pilgrims are required to register. It is strongly advised by the government that pilgrims should register as early as possible and book their accommodation in advance due to the high occupancy levels during the peak season. Considering the unpredictable weather conditions and the challenging terrain of the Himalayas, there has been a bolstered endeavor from the state government to improve infrastructure such as more accessible roads, additional medical services and increased accommodation, specifically aimed at the devotees.
