BALI, INDONESIA, August 9, 2025 (Baliprawara): Pecatu Traditional Village, South Kuta, Badung, held the culminating ceremony dedicating Bangbang Beji Temple on Monday, September 8, 2025. This ceremony was held following the completion of temple construction and also marked the establishment of the Pujawali (holy puja) at the temple, coinciding with Soma Ribek Day. Since morning, villagers had filled the temple area to participate in the culminating ceremony. In his remarks, Regent Wayan Adi Arnawa expressed his joy at being present as part of the Pecatu Traditional Village community in this sacred project. He stated that the completion of the temple construction must be accompanied by this work as a form of devotion and purification, as a place for the abode of Ida Sang Hyang Widhi (the Supreme God or Ultimate Reality in Balinese Hinduism).
Although the physical construction was funded by the government, this locally-funded ceremony was a sincere expression of devotion from the community to Ida Sang Hyang Widhi, who resides at the Bangbang Beji Temple in Pecatu Traditional Village. “May the community of Pecatu Traditional Village be blessed with safety, prosperity and peace, not only for Badung Regency and Bali, but also for the entire archipelago,” he hoped.
