INDIA, July 21, 2026 (Instagram): A prominent actor and film producer once claimed that India did not exist as a concept before the British came because India was just a mess of warring factions and kingdoms and political fragmentations. Samyu and featured guest counter this concept saying that even though we were not calling ourselves a nation, there has always been the understanding of being one people, one civilization. They cite spiritual texts such as the Puranas and Mahabharata which talk about the land being inhabited by the sons of Bharata and mention Shankaracharya’s Mathas established in the four corners of India.
