The STN-Studionovecento company, composed primarily of university students, will perform a production that explores universal themes such as peace and war through the story of a fratricidal clash that culminates in a global catastrophe. Building on the success of last year’s sold-out three-night run at Milan’s Fabbrica del Vapore, this initiative aims to offer a profound and timely reflection on these themes within a historical context marked by conflict and uncertainty. The Italian Hindu Union funded the project using 8XMille resources (the portion of Italian income taxes dedicated to religion), firmly believing in its cultural and educational value and recognizing its importance as a tool for fostering dialogue and understanding the artistic and wisdom-based heritage of India and beyond.

Alongside the moral dimension, the Mahābhārata offers a profound ethical reflection, continually inquiring into the meaning of virtues such as truth, self-control, compassion, modesty, patience, and non-violence.”
