The annual festival was organized by the Sri Manicka Vinayakar Alayam temple in the La Chapelle district, home to a large South Asian community and the largest Hindu temple in France. The day’s festivities began with religious ceremonies at the temple before devotees took part in a procession through neighborhood streets. Lord Ganesha’s statue was carried on a decorated chariot adorned with flowers, garlands, coconuts and traditional decorations, while singers, dancers and musicians accompanied the procession. Blessed offerings, sweets and cold drinks were distributed to participants and spectators along the route.
