NADI, FIJI, June 16, 2006: Officially registered as a religious body in Fiji since 1959, Shree Sanatan Dharm Pratinidhi Sabha launched their new website last month. Surendra Kumar, national president of the Sabha says, “The launching of the site will ensure that we are not left behind in this world of technology and advancement…the Sabha is no longer an isolated organization and will now have global reach via the site.” University of the South Pacific’s head of economics, Dr. Biman Prasad, echoed similar sentiments and said the website would make a huge contribution towards national reconciliation. The modest, but well done site, includes the history of the Sanatan in Fiji, the present leadership, the group’s extensive work in education throughout Fiji, the women’s wing and youth sporting events, along with the latest updates of Sanatan news and color photos of the event. Included on the site are PDF versions of the Sanatan Samachaar, the Sanatan’s newspaper, a b&w duplicate of the website’s news section. New, previews and all Sanatan events will be covered on the new website and public suggestions are invited, says President Kumar.
