BAHRAIN, November 9, 2006: Sri Sri Keshavananda Bharathi Swamiji of Edneer Mutt in Kasargod, on the border of Karnataka and neighboring Kerala, will be the chief guest during the Vishwa Kannada Samskruti Sammelan (World Kannada Cultural Conference) at the Al Raja School, Manama, on December 15 and 16. More than 100 leading authors, actors, religious and spiritual leaders, politicians, singers and philanthropists are scheduled to attend the conference organized by the Kannada Sangha, Bahrain. This educative and entertaining program is being planned on a grand scale to coincide with the 50th anniversary celebrations of the southern Indian state of Karnataka, which is home to more than 60-million Kannada speaking people.
