KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA, January 31, 2007: HH Swami Guhabakthananda Saraswathy Maharaj, President of Divine Life Society Malaysia said recently at the opening ceremony of the Bandar Botanic Hindu Residents Association, Klang that such associations can serve the community by providing religious knowledge to people of all age groups. Temples should also focus on community development. He said that such an association can be closer to the needs of Hindus living in the area. The Bandar Botanic Hindu Association is at the moment conducting religious classes for children and youths, sangeetham and baratha natyam classes, yoga classes and has regular religious talks. It has now started working on carrying out tuition classes as well as other activities to promote Hinduism amongst Hindus in the area. The official launch of the Association was inaugurated on Sunday, January 28, 2007 at its rented premises. Datuk A. Vaithilingam, the President MHS called on its leaders to concentrate more on activities for children and youths and also have regular family gatherings.
