KAUAI, HAWAII, May 22, 2007: The Iraivan Temple project here at the headquarters of Hinduism Today and HPI has discovered a new fundraising method: Cafepress.com. On the website are available for purchase custom mugs and mouse pads, tote bags and stickers, buttons and magnets and posters, each with Iraivan Temple art printed on them. The items are custom printed by Cafepress, one at a time, as you order them. The prices are reasonable, the products are shipped directly to the buyer without any work by the organization, and all proceeds automatically go to the Temple building fund. For example, one can buy a poster of Iraivan Temple art, an Iraivan Temple mug, tote bag or refrigerator magnet. It’s a clever idea and could prove an effective fundraiser. The organization or company controls what art can go on what products for sale to avoid inappropriate uses. Most of the site is for commercial sellers who put their designs on clothes, posters, mugs, etc. Go to URL above to see the Iraivan set up.
