SONOMA, CALIFORNIA, July 1, 2007: The third annual Katmandu Fall Festival will take place from 10 am to 5 pm on September 8 – 9, 2007, in Depot Park, Sonoma, California. The many cultures of Nepal, and heritage of the Himalayas in general, will be celebrated with traditional foods, music, dance and other cultural presentations. Attendees will enjoy shopping for Nepali and Tibetan antiques, carpets and a variety of other imports. All proceeds will go to the Children’s Medical Aid Foundation, which benefits the children of Nepal.
The children’s Medical Aid Foundation funds a Nepalese surgical team that travels into remote areas throughout Nepal to provide medical services for children that would otherwise do without. They specialize in surgical correction and therapy that gives a hopeful and positive future to young lives, whose prospects had heretofore been rather bleak.
