GUYANA, October 19, 2003: Following meetings with leaders of the Christian and Muslim communities, Guyana’s President, Bharrat Jagdeo, will meet with representatives of the Hindu faith on October 22 at State House. Cabinet Secretary Dr. Roger Luncheon told reporters at his weekly press briefing yesterday that the encounter, like the others held before, would allow Jagdeo to discuss issues of mutual concern. According to Luncheon, the ceremony will also allow for interaction between government and state functionaries and Hindu priests.
