Thuria Kumar writes, “We at the Sri Kandaswamy Kovil in Brickfields will be holding a Youth Camp for the youngsters between the December 14 to 18, 2003, for the youth aged between 14 – 20 years of age. Our main aim for this camp is to bring the youth closer to the temple by giving them a better understanding of it.This camp takes place regularly every year around this time. The program includes bhajan, yoga, tour of the temple, lectures on Hinduism, Lord Ganesha, Gayatri Mantra, time management and study skills, human values and more. During these four days of the camp the children also attend all the three puja timings in traditional costumes for boys in Veshti & Jippa and for the girls in Churida.
