MILAN, INDIA, February 22, 2004: The third edition of the Festival of India will take place from Thursday, March 25, to Sunday, March 28, at Forum, Assago, Milan, Italy, according to this report in Italian at “source.” More than 50 artists are scheduled to perform classical and folk Indian dances. During the four days of the event, the Forum stands will showcase craftsman-like shops where the typical products of India will be displayed. Textiles, jewels, incense, carpets, sculptures, rudraksha necklaces and more will be displayed in an enchanting and tribal surrounding. Visitors will be entertained with music, dance, concerts, yoga demonstrations and Indian martial arts. Ayurvedic cooking will be demonstrated and Indian dishes served in the many festival restaurants. The festival will also feature lectures and debates on traditional Indian thoughts such as philosophy, mythology and spirituality. More than 20,000 people attended last years festival.
