SOUTH AFRICA, June 6, 2004: He has read the palms of Bollywood celebrities and was one of the first astrologers to predict a bomb blast in India two years ago. Now Mahesh Bang, on his second visit to South Africa, is compiling a prediction chart for the country from 2000 to 2019, reports this article by Subashni Naido. “This period can be seen as the best for this country,” says Bang, who bases his predictions on Vedic astrology. He predicts a boom in tourism, a lot of business opportunities and prosperity. “This is the period where the country grows like a blooming flower,” he says. By 2007, the majority of homeless people will be sheltered, but crime will have increased drastically, he warns. The 29-year-old astrologer, born in Jaipur in northern India, credits his mother with discovering his clairvoyant abilities. She encouraged him to get a formal qualification at the Jaipur College of Astrology and Palmistry.
