WASHINGTON, D.C., February 25, 2005: On March 2, 2005, the U.S. Supreme Court is set to hear oral arguments regarding two cases that address the issue of whether displays of the Ten Commandments on government property are an unconstitutional endorsement of a particular religion. Suhag Shukla, Esq., Legal Counsel of the Hindu American Foundation (HAF), will be present at the Supreme Court session that day. She will also be available to discuss the legal and theological arguments entailed in the HAF brief and comment on the oral arguments outside of the time when the Supreme Court is hearing the oral arguments. Ms. Shukla coordinated the filing of the first and only amicus brief representing non-Judeo Christian religions in this landmark issue.
