CALIFORNIA, USA, May 18, 2005: Last September 2004, dancers, musicians and artists contributed their talents in a benefit performance for Iraivan Temple at the CET Theater in San Jose. Contributions for Iraivan exceeded expectations, and a US$10,000 check was presented to Paramacharya Palaniswami of Saiva Siddhanta Church for Iraivan Temple’s continuing construction (click here to learn about this all-stone, hand-carved granite marvel).

This year, the organizers of Iraivan Benefit Concert 2005 are happy to announce world-renowned flute maestro, Shashank and ensemble, will be performing for Iraivan Temple this September 25, 3:00 pm, at the Mexican Heritage Theater in San Jose, California. There will be a special Bharatanatyam performance opening by Shirisha Shashank. For those who participated in Innersearch India 2004, Shashank’s memorable performance under the stars at Brihadeeswara Temple in Tanjavur was one of those unforgettable experiences of pilgrimage. We would like to thank all contributors and performers for their generous support of Iraivan Temple.
