The latest way to worship is through the mobile phone. Wireless content provider Mauj Telecom, recently announced the launch of a spiritual channel for mobile users. The channel promises to enable consumers to perform their prayer rituals by using their mobile phone. Currently, there are four prayer/puja applications available — Ganesh puja, Laxmi puja, Sikh prayer and Sai puja. Commenting on the launch, Arun Gupta, COO Mauj, says, “With mobile phones becoming an inseparable part of everyone’s life, we thought we could provide an opportunity to people to keep in touch with their spiritual side.”
