PORT LOUIS, MAURITIUS, September 9, 2005: The Hindu Council of Africa (e-mail at “source”) is holding the All Africa Hindu Conference in Mauritius from September 17 to 19, assisted by local organizations in Mauritius. The main theme of the conference will be “Hindus in the Evolving African Context” and the specific topics are Hindu family values, Hindus in African society, charity of Hindus: uplifting the poor, universality of Vedanta: a message for Africa and Conservation and propagation of Gita in Africa. Eminent personalities from east as well as west Africa, Madagascar, the UK, Mauritius and other countries will participate. The meeting will be held at the Hindu House at Cassis, Port Louis. Among the speakers are the chairman of the Hindu Council of Africa, Mr. Muljibhai Pindolia, Swami Pravananda of Chinmaya Mission, Mauritius, Swami Sardananda of Ramakrishna Mission, South Africa and Swami Ghananandji Saraswati of Hindu Monastery, Ghana.
