WASHINGTON, D.C., March 10, 20060: On Friday afternoons around lunchtime, a small group gathers in the Bolling Chapel Center of Bolling Air Force Base here to discuss one of the oldest religions in the world – Hinduism. While there isn’t a Hindu chaplain in the Air Force, the group fills the void with guest speakers, discussions about the religion, vegetarian cooking lessons and, eventually, meditation and yoga. Hinduism is unique among the world’s religions because it cannot be traced back to a specific event or individual. There are also many different variations with some being ancient and some more recent. The Hindu group meets every Friday at 11:30 a.m. in the chapel center. For more information, call the chapel at (202) 767-5900.
