VIENNA, AUSTRIA, September 21, 2007: Today, the United Nations International Day of Peace, His Holiness Paramhans Swami Maheshwaranandaji, author of the Yoga in Daily Life System, planted a World Peace Tree and inaugurated a Peace Memorial Stone in a beautiful park in Vienna, Austria. Several dignities from the city government and representatives from various religions – among them Dr. Bimal Kundu (head of the Indian Community in Vienna) and Pater Elmar (Catholic parish priest) – attended this function. Peace messages arrived from the Protestant Bishop Dr. Sturm and Chief Rabbi Chaim Eisenberg. Together with the guests of honor, His Holiness Swamiji planted the Peace Tree and inaugurated the Peace Memorial Stone on behalf of the City of Vienna and the Yoga in Daily Life Association. Then prayers for world peace were extended by the religious representatives and by the numerous participants from various countries of Europe and from Australia.
