BHOPAL, INDIA, January 12, 2008: Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced that Yoga will be part of school education from next academic year. He was speaking at the state level “Surya Namaksar” event organised by the School Education Department at the TT Nagar stadium today. The Chief Minister joined the students in performing Suryanamaskar and pranayamas, and also talked to the children who participated in the mass Suryanamaskar. He enquired them whether they would adopt it as a regular exercise, and the children confirmed. They also told him that they felt it was a very good experience for them.

The Chief Minister complemented the officials of School Education Department and office bearers of Vivekanand Kendra and voluntary groups for successfully organizing the Yoga function.
