PALANI, TAMIL NADU, INDIA, February 19, 2008: The rope car service at the famous Sri Dhandayuthapaniswamy Palani hill temple will resume on February 24, after a gap of nearly six months.
The service was suspended on August 26 last year after an accident.
An inquiry was conducted following the mishap and all the
recommendations of the probe committee have been implemented to make
the service “very very safe,” a temple official said.
Trial runs were conducted with articles weighing 350kg to ensure
safety of the service.
