SPRIENGFIELD, IL, USA, August 3, 2008. The Hindu Temple of Greater Springfield will be inaugurated in four days of ceremonies starting Monday night at the new temple, 1001 W. Walnut St. in Chatham. Gruha Pravesha Muhurtham, the ceremonial entering of the temple for the first time, will begin at 9 p.m. Monday, following a ribbon-cutting by Chatham Mayor Tom Gray. The Mandir Inauguration and Sat Sung, led by Ghagwan Sri Sri, Sri Viswayogi Viswamji, will be at 7 p.m. Thursday. The public is invited to the ceremonies.
