USA, March 9, 2009: Sewa International invites youth aged 18-30 to participate in an exciting summer internship. This year, Yuva for Sewa offers projects in both India and the US. In Maharashtra and Bangalore, projects include health-related activities (including volunteering in hospitals and promoting Ayurveda, traditional Indian herbal medicine), educational enhancement, empowerment of women, rural development, vocational training, social progress for children in slums, and much more. US projects specialize in helping disadvantaged communities such as Bhutanese refugees and the Native American community.

Participants will gain a greater understanding of the community’s culture and needs through a hands-on approach and will use their knowledge to help improve living situations.

All projects with description and requirements are listed on the YFS website, at “Source” above.
