BOBIGNY, FRANCE: A Hindu temple in La Courneuve suffered minor damage in a Molotov cocktail attack Monday night, quickly following an attack against the Bourget International Buddhist Center. Police have arrested four young men of Sri Lankan origin who are suspects in this latest attack.

Sunday evening, several windows at the Buddhist temple were broken by 7 or 8 people carrying sticks and large knives, according to the manager– the first time that this center suffered vandalism since it was established in 1989.

The head of the Buddhist center, Parawahera Chandaratana, believes the attack was linked to the ongoing fighting in northeastern Sri Lanka and the associated community tensions.
