WELLINGTON, NEW ZEALAND, December 5, 2009: The Hindu Council of New Zealand (HCNZ) will organize the Wellington Regional Hindu Conference on Saturday, February 27, 2010, in Lower Hutt, Wellington. The theme of the conference is “Community Development – A Hindu Perspective”.

HCNZ believes in the ideal of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” (the world is one big family). Hindu New Zealanders have come from Fiji, India, South Africa, United Kingdom, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Caribbean, Mauritius and more countries

The conference will discuss initiatives that government agencies have shown in community development, role of volunteers in community development, development of community based health, well-being and social services, involvement of youth for community development and youth perspectives of community development.
