The local order, No. 1 for 2001, enunciating the code came into effect on September 26 and thousands of multi-lingual leaflets in Malayalam, Urdu, Arabic, English, French, Russian and German are being distributed throughout Sharjah. Sharjah covers 2,590 sq.km and lies in the heart of the UAE, a federation of states.
