{"id":13928,"date":"2014-12-21T12:00:00","date_gmt":"2014-12-21T12:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.hinduismtoday.com\/hpi\/2014\/12\/21\/rss-reconverts-100-people-in-agra\/"},"modified":"2014-12-21T12:00:00","modified_gmt":"2014-12-21T12:00:00","slug":"rss-reconverts-100-people-in-agra","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.hinduismtoday.com\/hpi\/2014\/12\/21\/rss-reconverts-100-people-in-agra\/","title":{"rendered":"RSS Reconverts 100 People in Agra"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/indianexpress.com\/article\/india\/uttar-pradesh\/rss-claims-it-re-converted-100-people-in-agra\/\">Source<\/a><\/p>\n<p>INDIA, December 11, 2014 (Indian Express): At least 100 persons from 37 families were reportedly re-converted to Hinduism at a ceremony organized by an offshoot of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in the cantonment area here.<\/p>\n<p>The Dharma Jagran cell of the RSS and Bajrang Dal claimed to have organized the joint mass conversion ceremony where about 100 people, mostly slum dwellers, were yesterday re-converted and &#8220;brought back to the Hindu fold&#8221; after a ritual that included tying of sacred threads on their wrists and putting a vermilion mark on their foreheads.<\/p>\n<p>The organizers of the event said the room in which the re-conversion ceremony took place was transformed into a makeshift temple and statues of Hindu Gods and Goddesses were placed there.
